Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Chemistry Technician to assist in the control, development and optimisation of chemical manufacturing and treatment processes. You will work with the Process Chemist to conduct lab testing, monitor processes, collect data and troubleshoot to ensure safe and compliant operations.

You will routine-sample, analyse, calibrate instruments and maintain documentation while supporting project work with the Development Chemist.

Qualifications

• Experience in a chemistry manufacturing or process environment.
• Ability to carry out chemical analysis and record results accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine sampling and chemical analysis for production facilities.
• Prepare chemical solutions, reagents and test samples.
• Maintain an accurate database for routine analysis results.
• Analyse data to identify trends and support process optimisation and quality improvements.
• Report results outside limits to maintain processing controls.
• Perform routine instrument calibration for accurate analysis and robust control.
• Support development chemist with planning and documentation of projects.
• Manage laboratory stocks and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Maintain laboratory procedures, test methods and calibration records.
• Support production activities where knowledge and training permit.
• Support internal and external training requirements.
• Adhere to Safety, Health & Environment, Quality and HR policies and risk assessments.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
