Chemistry Teacher – Outstanding School in Reading (ECT’s Welcome)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher seeking a new opportunity in an outstanding school? We are looking for an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving department in a high-achieving school in Reading, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position and we welcome applications from experienced Chemistry Teachers as well as ECTs.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for diverse learners.
  • Assessing student progress, setting targets, and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Participating in school productions and extracurricular activities.
  • Creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within and beyond the department.
  • Engaging in professional development opportunities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or related field
  • QTS or PGCE
  • Experience as a Chemistry Teacher (or ECT status)

The salary for this position will be paid according to the MPS/UPS scale.
