Job summary

Key Stage Teacher Supply is seeking a competent and capable Specialist Teacher of Chemistry for a well-regarded secondary school based in Preston. This is a full-time, long-term position starting January 2027 and running to the end of the academic year, delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
