Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a secondary school in Telford. You will teach KS3 and KS4, deliver engaging science lessons and support student progress.

You must have QTS/PGCE (or be an aspiring teacher), enhanced DBS, and a passion for inspiring learners. This role offers full-time hours and competitive pay, with a supportive consultant from Academics guiding the placement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Science Teacher with QTS/PGCE or to be newly qualified.

Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teacher or early careers teacher to work within a secondary school environment. Academics are looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join a school in Telford to teach their KS3 and KS4 lessons.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics as part of the secondary Science curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
• Preparing students for GCSE Combined Science and Separate Science exams where applicable
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Delivering practical lessons safely in accordance with procedures
• Working together with colleagues, parents and carers
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, professionalism and student welfare
