Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic science department. We are looking for someone who can ignite curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of the chemical sciences at KS3, KS4. Starting September 2025.

Duties as Chemistry Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons, with the ability to teach across key stages 3 and 4.

  • Plan and adapt engaging lessons using both practical and theoretical approaches

  • Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with curriculum standards

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Chemistry curriculum and enrichment activities

  • Promote safe and effective use of lab equipment and procedures

Ideal Chemistry Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field

  • Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of the science curriculum as Chemistry Teacher.

  • Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE level (A-level desirable)

  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievements
