Job description

This school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join their forward-thinking Science department. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an early career teacher, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach Chemistry in a supportive, high-achieving environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4

  • Foster a love for science through practical investigations and conceptual learning

  • Support student achievement through effective assessment, feedback, and intervention

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental improvement, and extracurricular activities

  • Promote student progress and confidence in preparation for GCSE and/or A-Level Chemistry

Ideal Chemistry Teacher:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Chemistry or a related discipline

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Chemistry exciting and relevant

  • High expectations of student behaviour, effort, and achievement

  • Ability to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Chemistry Teacher.
