Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Chemistry teacher to instruct Key Stage 3 & 4 classes at a school in North Derbyshire, starting as soon as possible.

This role is open to NQTs/ECTs and more experienced teachers. Candidates must be specialists in Chemistry. You will be paid on a scale from day one. The position begins as a supply role with the potential to become permanent after a short period.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: Derbyshire
• Position: Teacher of Chemistry
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Type: Temp to perm
• Full Time
• Minimum Rate of Pay: £ per day
• Hours: 8:20 am - 4:00 pm, plus meetings as required

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

• Chemistry Graduate, preferably with a 2:2 or higher
• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Previous teaching experience in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year); training can be provided if needed
• Up-to-date Prevent Awareness & FGM training (issued within the last 3 years); training can be provided if needed

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
• Provide at least two professional child-related references from the last 2 years
