  • Conduct chemistry laboratory tests on prepared samples using established SOPs
  • Support scientists with planning and executing research experiments
  • Ensure experiments are monitored and documented accurately
  • Calibrate and maintain key equipment - pH meters, CO₂ sensors, chromatography units
  • Help manage lab consumables and maintain inventory records
  • Share responsibility for ordering lab supplies and equipment upkeep
  • Contribute to health & safety, COSHH compliance, and overall lab housekeeping

What We’re Looking For

  • HND/HNC or BSc/BEng degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
  • Prior working experience in a chemistrylaboratory environment
  • Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a logical, hands-on mindset
  • A collaborative approach – able to work well with scientists, engineers, and managers
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving priorities in a start-up environment
  • A good understanding of lab safety practices and risk assessments

Why Join?

  • Employee Share Options – take ownership in the mission
  • 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Office closure over Christmas
  • £500 personal development grant annually
  • Unlimited mental health support
  • Equal parental leave – 3 months
