Job summary

RWE Generation UK offers an industrial placement at Pembroke Power Station, within the Operations and Maintenance group, focusing on the Chemistry and Environmental Engineering placement role.

You will monitor the water and steam cycle, develop an understanding of environmental permits, and drive improvements through personal projects and training. The role may involve collaboration with other departments and occasional shift work as part of running a power station.

Qualifications

• Ideally pursuing a degree in Chemical and/or Environmental Engineering with an interest in the energy sector.
• Degree should include an industrial placement year to meet role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the water/steam cycle and take investigative actions when needed.
• Develop understanding of environmental permits and monitor compliance to ensure sustainable energy production.
• Engage in personal projects driving continual improvement.
• Participate in courses, workshops, and on-the-job training to support growth.
• Collaborate with other departments and potentially work shifts with the operations team.
