Job summary

Almac Group is recruiting multiple chemists to join our Almac Sciences teams in Craigavon, UK. The roles cover biocatalysis, custom synthesis and flow chemistry, with emphasis on innovative synthetic methods and scalable processes.

Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field and may contribute to enzyme screening, multistep synthesis and process development for pharmaceutical clients. Flexible working and permanent roles on offer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related field.
• Knowledge of organic synthesis and analytical techniques.
• Interest in biocatalysis and flow chemistry applications.

Responsibilities

• Work across biocatalysis, custom synthesis and flow chemistry teams.
• Develop innovative synthetic methods and scale-up processes.
• Collaborate on enzyme screening and process development.
• Contribute to batch and continuous-flow chemistry projects.
• Support transfer of robust processes to manufacturing.
