Chemical Treatment Operative

Location: Chelmsford

Hours: 39 hrs per week Mon- Wed 7am - 5:30pm, Thurs 7am - 4:30pm (30 min lunch) (Friday, Saturday, and Sundays off)

Salary: £15.39 - £16.00 (dependant on experience)

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, healthcare, overtime options

Adecco are excited to be working alongside their client based in Chelmsford, who are looking to hire a Wet Treatments Operator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of pre-paint chemical treatments on Aluminium, Titanium and Stainless-Steel Aerospace components.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret drawing data both first and/or third angle projection
  • Assist in lifting heavy components when required
  • Work to simple instructions given on paperwork and other documents
  • Adhere to various stringent customer specifications
  • Follow health and safety requirements at all times
  • Be a team player and work extra overtime hours as required by the business
  • Ability to work varied shift patterns as required by the Company
  • Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of the wet treatments process would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
  • An understanding of the different types of metals would be advantageous.
