Job summary

A leading company in the chemical manufacturing sector is seeking a Chemical Process Operative for permanent, full-time shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience in a COMAH site and be familiar with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include operating chemical equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires flexibility for day and night shifts on a 4on/4off schedule.

• Familiar with COSHH, Risk assessments, and Health & Safety.

Process Operative - Chemical manufacturing

Days and Night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Please note: This shift pattern is 4on/4off, including weekends and bank holidays. You MUST be able to work both Days and Nights.

Our Ideal Candidate

• An experienced process operative from a chemical manufacturing, COMAH site, essential
• Familiar with COSHH, Risk assessments, and Health & Safety, essential
• Possess an IOSH Qualification, essential
• GMP Knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to troubleshoot and monitor equipment
• FLT licence - advantageous, desirable

In Your Role As a Process Operative

• Operate chemical equipment
• Use vacuum systems, nitrogen, and control panels
• Undertake distillations, separations, transfers, filtrations, and powder handling
• Manufacture products following detailed procedures
• Monitor chemical reactions and make adjustments
• Record process data
• Perform safety checks
• Maintain equipment
• Follow all Health & Safety and GMP regulations
