Job summary

Kronospan in the UK is seeking a senior site leader responsible for Formalin, Resin and overall site quality. You will drive EHS performance, lead the department to meet targets and maximise process availability through structured maintenance aligned with the maintenance function.

The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree, extensive experience in chemical production, and strong leadership to manage and develop teams, control costs, and engage with regulators and stakeholders while

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in chemical production and processes.
  • Operational knowledge of COMAH regulations and process safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a consistently high level of performance.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient utilisation of the process through communication with the Planning department.

  • Teambuilding, motivation and training of staff to fulfil production needs.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing of the department to accommodate production requirements.
  • Control costs including energy consumption, maintenance budget, etc.
  • Minimise process issues, ensuring staff are competent at all tasks required of them.
  • Communicate with regulators and other key stakeholders.

Job Description

  • A Chemical Engineering degree is the minimum level required for this position.
  • Leadership abilities. The successful candidate will be required to challenge colleagues and issue clear instructions to drive successful outcomes.
