We are now seeking a chemical plant Process Operator at Kemira’s Bradford site working on an annualised hours 24/7 365 day shift pattern.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • the safe operation of an automated production plant; following operating procedures and run conditions to produce product to the required quality at the required rate.
  • carrying out routine testing, monitoring process parameters (both on automated systems and on the production line) and taking appropriate corrective action as required.
  • maintaining housekeeping standards and completing and recording 5S duties.
  • contributing to problem solving and continuous improvement activities.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • previous manufacturing experience essential; process or chemical manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • basic IT skills essential; experience of Microsoft Office, SAP, and data historian software is desired.
  • the ability to be proactive and work well within a team environment, whilst using initiative to ensure the efficient operation of the plant.
  • a flexible approach to work to cover shifts and call out on a rota.
  • a logical approach to activities and an effective problem solver
