Chemical Plant Operator | Mitcham, Surrey | Full Time - 38 Hours per week | £24,127 per year

Our client is one of the world's largest suppliers of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of coating resins for a wide variety of markets and applications.

They have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Chemical Plant Operator to join their team. The position is a temporary appointment with a high possibility of converting to a permanent role.

The role involves shift work, so the successful candidate must be local to the plant. Please provide your postcode when applying to be considered for the position.

Are you the right person for the job?
  • Candidate MUST be physically fit
  • Previous experience in a similar chemical batch manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from others in a busy factory environment
  • Be flexible to work on a rota
  • Live within a commutable distance
What will your role look like?
  • Manual handling
  • Transporting and supporting heavy loads
  • Maintaining housekeeping within the plant
  • Filling of finished goods
  • Loading reactors and blending tanks
  • Loading/unloading of tankers
  • Support the shift leader for the safe, efficient and effective operation of plant equipment and processes
  • Perform a variety of activities, including reactor loading, thinning/blend tank loading, set up of equipment for various plant tasks, filling/packaging of products, assisting the shift leader in loading/unloading of finished goods tankers and housekeeping
