Job Description:
Chemical Production/Operations Manager £60k + Signing Bonus + Annual Bonus
The Production Manager’s role is to ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operations of all plant personnel; be proficient in production planning and resource management while also possessing strong teamwork-oriented leadership, communication, supervision and problem-solving abilities to guide their team of employees and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced planning, delegation, coordination and oversight of daily shop and field manufacturing operations.
- Clearly communicate and actively listen to team members.
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals by fostering a positive and productive work environment while creating an enduring culture of team success.
- Effectively manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimize current and future production needs.
- Utilize experience and historical data to identify opportunities for success, predictable issues, and make informed decisions.
- Collaborate as a member of the management team to achieve all the business goals.
- Follow corporate guidelines to administer the performance reviews and compensation program.
- Participate in weekly production schedule meetings, monthly safety committee meetings and quarterly ISO Quality System Management Meetings.
- Recruit, hire and support training for most qualified candidates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Chemistry, Chemicals or engineering Degree is a must
- Proven leadership and development of project-based manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Teamwork oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
