Job description

B&V Chemicals are part of Marlowe Environmental Services, and currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Delivery Driver to join our team. Based at the Daventry site, this role offers excellent progression and development opportunities within an established and growing business.

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the importance of working safely with hazardous chemicals and need to be physically fit. The driver must demonstrate a high level of driving competence and be flexible. Good communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a keen eye for detail are essential. The candidate should be methodical, well-organized, and ensure vehicle checks are completed regularly, with driving card/tacho up to date.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Safely deliver hazardous goods to various locations throughout the UK.
  2. Adhere to company procedures and regulations.
  3. Manage your own time while complying with tachograph rules.
  4. Carry out daily vehicle checks.
  5. Check load against manifest.
  6. Load vehicle ensuring the load is secure.
  7. Deliver chemicals efficiently to multiple sites.
  8. Follow health and safety (H&S) and standard operating procedures (SOP).
  9. Communicate effectively with the customer service team regarding issues or delays.
  10. Support warehouse operations as required.
  11. Sign off COSHH assessments.
  12. Conduct IBC inspections.
  13. Implement and understand spillage procedures.
