Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

Applicants must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will assist with the daily care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes.

They are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare assistants.

• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to ease anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Keeping the ward or patient's home tidy
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
