Job Description

Join our team as a pastry chef and private chef in a private kitchen in central London. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing, baking, decorating a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and breakfasts according to recipes and menu inspiration.
  2. Ensuring the visual output aligns with brand standards.
  3. Providing menus tailored to specific clean food and vegan diets in a private chef capacity.
  4. Catering for company private events.
  5. Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  6. Collaborating with the culinary team, café drinks team, and creative director to meet customer and family demands.
  7. Using high-quality, health-focused supplements and ingredients, sourcing them as needed.
  8. Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies proactively.
  9. Working early morning shifts.
About You
  • Experience in baking, pastry, cake decorating, and food handling, ideally in a health-conscious, vegan café environment.
  • High-quality cake decorating skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness cooking, trending ingredients, and global food trends.
  • A self-starter motivated to achieve high standards.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques in a restaurant or kitchen setting.
  • Proficiency with professional kitchen equipment such as mixers, blenders, ovens, and dough sheeters.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and sourcing organic supplies.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Terms
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am – 12 pm. Optional Saturday shifts for extra pay.
  • Additional hours for events are paid hourly.
  • Work location: In-person, private kitchen in central London, with some prep work in the store.
