Your Role

As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for:

  • Planning and preparing nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs
  • Leading and mentoring kitchen staff
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Managing kitchen budgets and stock control
  • Creating seasonal menus that bring joy and comfort

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements in care settings (e.g., soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals)
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 (or willingness to obtain)
  • A caring and compassionate approach to food service
  • An Enhanced Adult & Child DBS Certificate dated within the last 2 years or on the Update Service
