Weekend Chef Teacher at Gordon Ramsay Academy

We are looking for a Weekend Chef Teacher to join our Gordon Ramsay Academy team based in Woking. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, charismatic, passionate about cooking, and eager to share knowledge through cookery classes and group events.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the best chefs in the industry. You’ll be part of a team committed to providing exceptional guest experiences, teaching, and food quality standards.

This is a part-time position with weekend and evening shifts required.

Responsibilities as a Chef Teacher:

1. Guide guests through an unforgettable culinary journey, teaching essential skills and techniques.
2. Deliver a variety of cookery classes across different subjects.
3. Maintain in-depth knowledge of recipes, techniques, cuisines, and topics taught.
4. Be creative and adaptable in teaching, responding positively to guest questions, and accommodating all skill levels and requirements.
5. Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are consistently met and demonstrated.
6. Support the Head Chef in daily operations and class/event development.
7. Assist in training, supervising, and supporting junior team members.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships within Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and with external partners and suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Chef de Partie level or higher in a fresh food environment with high-level cooking skills.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring.
• Experience working in a cookery school.
• Experience dealing with both public guests and corporate clients, including private parties and bespoke events.
• Awareness of budget management.
