Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Chef Supervisor (family-friendly hours) to join our team at HMP Millsike, Full Sutton, York, YO41 1PS.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations, working alongside inmates and ensuring smooth unit functioning.
  • Assisting and supervising inmates in the kitchen.
  • Filling out kitchen paperwork and ensuring due diligence.
  • Cooking meals and preparing food alongside prisoner workforces.
  • Preparing basic quality foods within a set pre-ordered menu.
  • Maintaining food production efficiency in line with recipes.
  • Ensuring the kitchen is clean and tidy.
  • Handling conflict and being an effective team player.
  • Undertaking relevant training as required.

Candidate requirements:

  • Resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work.
  • Able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Relevant culinary qualification.
  • Experience working in a large-scale kitchen.

Work conditions and benefits:

  • Full-time, 35 hours/week, 3 days on, 3 days off; shifts between 7am-6pm.
  • Pay rate: £13.00/hour.
