Job summary

Loungers is seeking Chefs to join the kitchen team at Varo Lounge in Sunderland. You’ll cook fresh dishes from tapas to all-day breakfasts, supporting the Head Chef while maintaining high standards.

Ideal candidates bring kitchen experience, strong teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include up to 12.71/hr + tips, paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food & drinks from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience as chef or in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain standards.
• Knowledge of food safety and allergens.
• Excellent teamwork with front-of-house.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cook fresh food to spec; tapas and all-day Lounge breakfasts.
• Support Head Chef with prep, service and standards.
• Keep kitchen clean, safe and fully prepped.
