We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Cook to join our team at our care home in Durham. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive balanced, nutritious meals that cater to their individual dietary needs. You will work within a set budget, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals to residents, taking into account their medical, dietary, ethnic, religious, and personal preferences.
  • Control the production of food in an efficient and economical manner, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Work within the allocated food budget.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with EHO regulations.

About You:

  • A minimum of 6 months' culinary experience required.
  • Caring, trustworthy, and patient nature with the desire to make a positive difference.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
