Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks a Chef Manager to lead the Leisure, Catering & Events Services team at Shuttleworth College. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, plan production schedules, manage staff rosters and ensure high standards of food presentation and service for students and events.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Kitchen/Larder and Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Kitchen/Larder qualification and supervisory experience.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Strong cooking, presentation and menu development skills.
• Ability to lead by example and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operation and production schedules.
• Develop menus, manage purchasing, stock and waste control.
• Maintain HACCP and health and safety compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop the kitchen team.
• Deliver excellent customer experiences and support events.
