Food Studies Lecturer

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary Range: £25,494 to £44,526 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)

Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop engaging lessons, including the creation of comprehensive schemes of work.
  • Implement learner-centred assessment methods focusing on constructive and developmental feedback.
  • Monitor and report on the attendance, progress, and achievements of students.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, enforcing health and safety standards, and ensuring all students understand and comply.
  • Provide personal coaching and pastoral care to designated students to support their development and future progression.
  • Stay updated with industry developments to ensure the relevance and employability of our students.
  • Actively participate in continuing professional development to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge in the education sector.
Qualifications
  • Hold a teaching qualification with experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors, or;
  • Possess a Level 3 qualification relevant to Food Studies and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification as part of our clientsPassport to Teaching programme.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching Food Studies to learners from Entry Level to Level 3.
  • Strong administrative skills to accurately track students' attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Passionate about upskilling the future generation in Food Studies.
