Job summary

Packing House Café in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an enthusiastic Cook/Chef with front-of-house skills to join the team. You will enjoy cooking and delivering first-class customer service in a busy environment.

Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will cover front of house and kitchen, handle staff scheduling, onboarding, payroll tasks, stock control and food ordering, while ensuring high standards of service and food safety throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry and a customer-facing environment
• Ability to work both in kitchen and front of house
• Commitment to high standards of service and food safety

Responsibilities

• Cover front of house and kitchen duties as required
• Handle schedule changes, staff call-ins and other staffing issues
• Fill in for absent employees to keep the operation running smoothly
• Supervise and support employees, modelling high levels of service and attention to detail
• Manage paperwork, stock control, food ordering and assist with payroll
• Ensure knowledge and application of food safety practices
