Job summary

Oakland Care in Enfield is seeking a dedicated Chef to support the Head Chef in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art kitchen within a residential care environment. You will help deliver high-standard dishes and ensure residents receive exceptional dining experiences, with opportunities for personal development and career progression.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to care plans, and strict attention to nutrition and presentation, with a permanent, full-time contract and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and patience with residents.
• Minimum of 2 years catering experience.
• Awareness of food regulations and standards applicable to care settings.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and textured diets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent food service at all times.
• Follow care and support plans to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Prepare nutritious snacks as requested by the General Manager.
• Ensure food is high quality, flavoursome and well presented.
• Collaborate with Head Chef for smooth kitchen operations.
• Manage stock control, ordering and replenishment.
