Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre in Chobham is seeking a chef to join our busy café kitchen. You will work alongside our kitchen team to prepare customers’ orders to a high standard in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with daytime hours only, offering excellent staff discount and growth opportunities. You will support the Head Chef, keep work areas clean, and help deliver quality food and friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen with fresh ingredients.
• Calm under pressure and good time management.
• Reliable, hands-on and team-oriented with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare various ingredients such as meats and vegetables
• Complete customer orders in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and Cooks to prep meals
• Ensure workstation is clean and sanitised
• Restock pantry and fridge as necessary
• Store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Work efficiently during service while maintaining quality and speed
• Enable smooth running of the kitchen
