Overall aim of the job:

The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section within the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard, in line with the hotel’s menu, quality, and hygiene standards. This position requires a strong culinary skill set, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and the satisfaction of guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards.
  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to ensure their development.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to plan menus and ensure consistency.
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • High standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
