Job Description

A private day school for girls in Guildford for students aged between 4 to 18 years. Catering for about 1000 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, lunch, PM snack, and match teas with some fabulous hospitality thrown in. Additionally, this location benefits from great transport links.

We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Guildford.

You will have previous experience working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers
  • Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and following the company's brand standards
  • Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled
  • Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures

You will have the following skills:

  • A genuine interest in food and excellent customer service
  • Be an all-round team player
  • Have innovation and passion for great food
  • Be an organized chef with attention to detail
  • Understand the basics of food cost and wastage

Knowledge / competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate a reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English
  • Ability to demonstrate a reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills
  • Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
