About The Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering the Butlins food propositions. You will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to set recipes and brand standards. You will oversee and manage small teams of commis chefs, ensuring the delivery of food in accordance with food safety policies. You will be enrolled in our award-winning Butlins Chef Academy to enhance your skills in a fun and educational environment, helping you progress to more senior levels.
As a Chef de Partie, your responsibilities are crucial in our kitchens. You will deputise in the absence of the sous chef, manage daily operations in your section, and ensure efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.
You will also maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations, and lead, train, and mentor commis chefs with guidance and support. You will be expected to prepare and cook dishes with pre-approved recipes, complete relevant daily food diaries, and control budget margins with support from senior chefs.
About You
We are looking for individuals with experience at a similar level and those seeking to step up in their culinary careers. You should be hardworking, reliable, and proactive in seeking improvements. Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving, understanding their role's value in enhancing guest experience by unleashing team potential. A Level 3 Food Safety qualification is required, along with confidence in leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities also include managing margins, controlling costs, and maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Our chefs at Butlin’s are special, and our guests love returning to our restaurants. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to participate, team-oriented, and committed to guest satisfaction. Typical working hours are five days over seven, totaling 40 hours per week.
