Job summary

LJ Recruitment Limited in Burgess Hill is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a care home kitchen team, working alongside the Head Chef to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

You will follow menus, accommodate dietary requirements, maintain high hygiene standards and support the kitchen team to ensure a warm and enjoyable mealtime experience for residents. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
• Genuine passion for cooking and quality food.
• Understands the importance of dietary requirements and allergen awareness.
• Has excellent food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard.
• Following menus and recipes while catering for individual dietary requirements.
• Supporting the Head Chef with the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards.
• Ensuring food is stored and prepared safely in line with current regulations.
• Supporting with stock control and minimising food waste.
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
• Helping to create a warm and enjoyable mealtime experience for residents.
