Job description

We are currently looking to add Chef de Partie to our team at The Royal Academy of Arts, London, to deliver a world-class guest experience. Our Cafés and Restaurants are located amongst inspiring masterpieces within Burlington House.

We seek a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who can create their own masterpieces through delightfully presented lunches, beautiful afternoon teas, and spectacular light bites and treats.

Package Description
  • 35 - 40-hour blue contract
  • Weekly pay
  • Hourly rate: London Living Wage, negotiable based on experience
  • 5-day work week, Mondays usually closed, weekend work may be required
Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in delivering culinary and food safety standards, including client tastings, chef briefings, food safety compliance, and event delivery
  • Maintain high organisation in kitchen management daily; role is mainly kitchen-based with some office work
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current food trends and bring innovation to food offerings in the event business
  • Collaborate with F&B Manager and restaurant managers to build positive relationships within the business
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in high-volume environments such as major events or banqueting
  • Background in Fine Dining, gained in hotels, restaurants, or contract catering
  • Passion for the catering industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to colleagues, peers, and clients
  • Organised with excellent planning skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
