Job summary

The Running Horses in Mickleham, Surrey, is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our award-winning country pub kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes across lunch, dinner, and events.

You will run your own section, prep and cook to standard, maintain presentation and hygiene, support junior team members, and contribute ideas for specials. We offer a full-time role with a competitive salary and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to progress
• Passion for fresh, seasonal food
• Works calmly and efficiently during busy services
• Strong attention to detail
• Takes pride in maintaining high kitchen standards
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
• Wants to develop skills and progress within a growing hospitality company

Responsibilities

• Running your own section confidently during service
• Preparing and cooking dishes to the required standard
• Maintaining excellent food presentation and consistency
• Supporting junior members of the kitchen team
• Ensuring your section is organised, clean and ready for service
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Helping with stock rotation, deliveries and reducing food waste
• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Contributing ideas towards specials and seasonal menu development
