Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Chef de Partie for Ascot Grange Care Home in Sunninghill. You will support the Head Chef and team to provide nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals that contribute to residents’ wellbeing.

You will participate in menu planning, kitchen meetings, and adapt to cover various duties as needed, ensuring cost-effective stock control and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Holds a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and dietary needs.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost‑effective stock control systems to minimise waste.
• Working with Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu regularly.
