Job summary

BaxterStorey is hiring a Commis Chef for a dayshift role in Bolton. The position offers 30 hours per week across 5 days with a rate of £13.75 per hour, plus opportunities for training and career development in a supportive kitchen environment.

As part of a diverse team, you’ll prepare and present dishes to high standards, work at pace, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience with our customers. Free meals on shift and employee benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines
• Strong food safety and sanitation knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation - cook dishes according to recipes and standards and maintain safety
• Station Management - oversee your station and keep area stocked and clean
• Quality Control - uphold high quality in presentation and taste
• Team Collaboration - communicate with the team and assist colleagues
• Menu Development - assist in developing and tasting new recipes with head chef
• Cleaning and Maintenance - keep kitchen area clean and equipment in good order
