Job summary

Holroyd Howe’s New Hall School in Boreham is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team. You’ll support food preparation, help maintain high standards, and play a vital role in the delivery of daily meals and events.

You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services to independent schools. The role focuses on assisting the kitchen brigade, ensuring allergen controls, and contributing to menu planning and service

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie in a contract catering environment (education sector preferred).
• Strong food safety knowledge and allergen controls.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen brigade in daily kitchen operations
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
• Contribute to innovative menu planning
• Manage mis-en-place and ensure a smooth and timely service
• Support events and functions alongside the school calendar
• Accountability for following and championing allergen controls
• Our team is trained to uphold respectful conduct with clients and partners
• Fresh ideas for food, service and ways of working to maintain our position as leaders in school catering

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at New hall school. You'll support food preparation, help maintain high standards, and play a vital role in the delivery of daily meals and special events.,

• Support the kitchen brigade in daily kitchen operations
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
• Contribute to innovative menu planning
• Manage mis-en-place and ensure a smooth and timely service
• Support events and functions alongside the school calendar

• Ideally, you will have experience as a Chef de Partie within a contract catering environment, preferably in independent education, or a high-profile business and industry setting. But not essential as full training will be provided.
• Passionate about fresh, seasonal food and creative presentation
• Strong attention to detail and high food safety standards
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
