Your purpose
● Produce dishes on time and to the expected standard, ensuring that each item is ready for the event and is presented on the prescribed serving dish as shown in the recipe book.
● Cater for events of up to 250 covers throughout the week.
● Work closely with the Banqueting senior sous chef to organise & set up the section for the week ahead.
● Maintain levels of control regarding food hygiene and safety including HACCP at all times.
● Effectively manage your section during service, including the effective direction of any Demi Chef de Parties or Commis Chefs who are assisting in the absence of the Banqueting senior sous chef.
● Ensure you produce sufficient mise en place for large functions of canape, bowl food, sharing or sit down dinners and that any unused items are correctly labelled and stored.
● Effectively manage stock and ensure that food is kept under optimum conditions.
● Ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to your Banqueting senior sous chef.
● Display the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation of both your station and the Kitchen in general.

● A passion for delivering exceptional service with a flair for hospitality.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
● Impeccable presentation and attention to detail.
● Previous experience in a private members club, five-star hotel or similar luxury environment is preferred.
