Main duties of the job

As Chef de Partie, your focus will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents. Responsibilities include preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, supporting cost-effective stock control systems, and working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu regularly.

About the role

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the residents' wellbeing.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Participating in meetings with residents and department heads to discuss catering functions and address dietary needs.
  • Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Supporting stock control systems to minimize waste.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review menus regularly.

  • Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.

  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover various responsibilities at short notice.
