Our award-winning Chef Apprenticeships are among the best in the industry and provide an incredible opportunity to learn, thrive, and succeed.

We have been awarded 'Best Apprenticeship Training Programme' by the British Institute of Innkeeping and collected the Silver Award for 'Best Apprenticeship Programme' at the Training Journal Awards.

Continue your winning career with us as part of the Fuller's Chefs' Guild Apprenticeship.

About the programme:

A Chef de Partie Apprenticeship at Fuller's is ideal for those already at Commis Chef level who want to advance their skills and responsibilities to the next level.

You'll receive training in all aspects of food preparation while gaining insight into some of the liveliest kitchens across the South of England.

Working in a Fuller's Kitchen is exciting and challenging, but with a full team to support and mentor you, you'll develop a rich understanding of food and a passion for our fresh, seasonal, and local produce. You will study 1 day per week at one of our college partners and receive world-class training while being paid. When you're not at college, you will work 4 days a week in one of our selected restaurants or hotels while being mentored by one of our Head Chefs.

What can we offer you?
  • 25% staff discount off food and drink across all our pubs and hotels for you and your friends and family. Increasing to 30% after 1 year, 35% after 3 years, and 40% after 5 years.
  • A fair share of tips, paid on top of your hourly pay - paid weekly.
  • Discounted hotel stays
  • Access to 'My Fuller's' — our online benefits platform for savings at retailers, discounted gym memberships, cinema tickets, and more!
  • Healthcare Cash Plan — after 1 year, access 24-hour GP service and claim back for dentist and eyecare appointments.
  • Full induction and training
  • The opportunity to grow professionally and personally
  • The option to receive up to 35% of your earnings as you earn them with Wagestream, so you won't always need to wait until payday.

What it means to be a Fuller's Apprentice...

We won't lie, it's hard work. Some days you'll be non-stop and go, go, go. This is not for those who want to stand around and take it slow. It's the beginning of something. If you want it, you could be General Manager or Head Chef one day. If not, that's fine too. You do you, and we'll support you all the way.

A Fuller's Apprenticeship is something special — just ask anyone who's done it. With us, you can be true to yourself. We celebrate individuality, so it doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, whether you loved school or couldn't wait to leave. We're only interested in your energy, ideas, and effort.

In return, we'll make you feel part of the family and be 100% true to you. We'll keep our promises, take you seriously, and give you responsibility. We'll always ask what's next, helping you learn and get qualified — maybe even up to degree level. And we'll show you how to do things the right way: put customers first, give them a warm welcome, and make their visit special. But that probably comes naturally to you.

Not everyone can get a Fuller's Apprenticeship. If you do, we see that you're good, a great addition to our team and family. Who knows where it will take you? This is where it all starts. Where it ends is up to you.

Bring your hard work, individuality, passion, and join our family. It's not too good to be true.

It's Fuller's TRUE TO YOU.
