Job description

This stylish and elegant hotel is searching for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team working with a highly talented Head Chef.

As a Chef de Partie, you will play an integral role in leading a section in the kitchen, creating high-quality dishes and maintaining high standards.

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Planning and overseeing the daily operations of your section to meet service requirements.
  2. Following all health and hygiene standards.
  3. Supervising and leading a team of Commis and Demi Chefs.
  4. Sampling and observing food to ensure it meets recipes and standards.
  5. Taking orders from the Sous Chef and delegating tasks to team members.
  6. Managing stock and requisitions to ensure good stock rotation and cost control.
  7. Maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in your section.
  8. Participating in food production, portioning, and utilizing surplus food to control costs.
  9. Communicating effectively with back-of-house personnel to ensure smooth food production.
  10. Conducting daily food line inspections to ensure quality.

Requirements for the role include:

  1. NVQ Levels 2 & 3 or equivalent.
  2. Experience in a Michelin star or AA Rosette establishment.
  3. Background in hotels or restaurants.
  4. Good knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
  5. COSHH knowledge.
  6. Proficiency in English and computer skills.
  7. Legal right to work in the UK.
