Restaurant Associates UK is seeking a talented Chef de Partie in Manchester to join our staff dining operation serving up to 600 covers daily. You will work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, owning your section and ensuring top quality meals with excellent hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates have experience in contract catering or high-volume hospitality, strong time management, and a passion for delivering consistently great food in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar in contract catering or high-volume hospitality.
• Confident in cooking fresh food in a busy kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Positive, flexible attitude and passion for delivering quality meals.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage your designated kitchen section during breakfast and lunch services.
• Prepare and cook fresh meals for up to 600 customers daily.
• Ensure meals are presented to company standards.
• Support menu delivery, stock rotation and waste reduction.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team for peak times.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain an organised kitchen.

Working alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you'll take ownership of your section, maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and hygiene standards in a high-volume environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing your designated kitchen section during busy breakfast and lunch services.
• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals for up to 600 customers each day.
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented consistently to company standards.
• Supporting menu delivery, stock rotation, and food waste reduction initiatives.
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure efficient service during peak periods.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members while helping to maintain a positive and organised kitchen.

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within contract catering, staff dining, education, healthcare, or high-volume hospitality.
• Confident cooking fresh food in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• A positive, flexible attitude and a passion for delivering consistently great food.
• A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality meals every day.
