A prestigious hotel in London seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to uphold its high culinary standards. The role involves leading kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and mentoring junior chefs. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation of all foods within the kitchen, ensuring it is to the highest standards. You will be quick, efficient, and accurate, providing prompt service delivery. Following the clear directions of the Executive Chef, you will learn the importance of consistency and cost control. You will receive and account for supplies and deliveries, follow correct hygienic food handling practices, and adhere to the restaurant’s cleaning and waste disposal procedures. You will lead and support junior team members and produce work in accordance with deadlines and quality guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and excellent kitchen knowledge, along with an understanding of food safety and hygiene relevant to the work environment. Relevant NVQ or professional qualifications are preferred, but technical skills and flexibility are key differentiators.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience as a Chef de Partie in a 5-star establishment and/or experience in a Michelin-star or AA Rosette restaurant. You should be immaculately presented and possess excellent customer service skills, both informally and professionally.
