Job summary

Dishoom in London is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead the Tandoor or curry section in our busy cafe kitchens, mastering marinades and on-pass duties to ensure first-class food.

This full-time role offers £37,500 per year inclusive of tronc, paid monthly, with varied day and evening shifts, access to our training programmes, and a welcoming, inclusive culture.

We celebrate teamwork with events and a commitment to growth from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen and on a Tandoor or curry section.
• Strong marinades and flame cooking skills.
• Reliable team player with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Tandoor or curry dishes to spec and quality.
• Assist on the pass and help with kitchen hygiene and waste control.
• Contribute to a fast, friendly service during peak hours.

We are looking for a Chef de Partie/ Tandoor Chef to join the team in our Cafes in London!

What to expect:

• £37,500 per year inclusive of tronc. We pay on a monthly basis.
• A full-time role working across 5 days, Monday - Sunday availability required.
• We're an all day dining Bar-cafe, meaning our teams work a variety of daytime and evening shifts (not the usual always late nights!)
• Access to our award-winning training programmes and support. We focus on your development from day one and proudly promoted 326 Dishoomwalles last year!
• The usual number of days holiday a year - paid for, including tronc. Our sites are closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and if you have children, we’ll provide one extra day to take them to their first day at school.
• We'll provide the Chef whites!

So, what are we looking for?

As a Chef de Partie:

• You will be on point for the preparation of our Tandoor or Curry section.
• You know the way around a Tandoor oven like the back of your hand and have perfected the preparation of our marinades.
• You will support the team on the pass by helping to receive orders coming in, and ensure we have the most first-class approach to food wastage.
