Line Chef

Salary: GBP30,000
Location: 40 George Street, Milton Keynes

Having been established for over 17 years, Fratelli is an award-winning Italian restaurant with 3 locations in Ampthill and Woburn in Bedfordshire.

Our concept is simple: fresh, quality, rustic dishes with a modern twist and an atmosphere that keeps people wanting to come back again and again.

We are now hiring a new chef to join our team in Woburn.

Using your prior culinary experience, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering great food during high volume, peak times of business, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

We are looking for ambitious and driven food professionals that are aspiring to join a high quality and progressive business; thorough training and support will be provided.

Our Chefs are responsible for:

  • Ensuring adequate levels of stock at all cooking and meal prep stations.
  • Preparing and delivering great food during high volume, peak times of the business.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and completing the daily cleaning checklists.
  • Full compliance with Fratelli Food, Health and Safety policies and procedures.

What we're looking for:

  • Knowledge of culinary and food hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, shows initiative, confident, and a strong team player.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and production processes.
  • Candidates must be age 18 or over due to the hours of the role.
  • Candidates must be UK residents to be considered for the role.

You will be required to provide a valid proof of Right to Work in the UK. This can be a valid passport OR birth certificate along with your National Insurance documentation (both must be present OR another form of valid right to work documentation). As applicable, you must have a minimum of 6 months work eligibility available on the right to work documentation that you provide.

What we offer:

  • GBP30,000 - GBP33,000 pa
  • Share of Tronc (approx GBP500 per month based on working 40 hours per week)

Job duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards.
  • Menu planning.
  • Recording food temperatures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: GBP30,000.00-GBP33,000.00 per year
