Job summary

Sea Containers London is opening Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers, a premier dining destination on the South Bank. We seek a Chef de Partie to lead a section of the kitchen, upholding exceptional standards of preparation, presentation and service, and to contribute to a dynamic opening team.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, train juniors, manage mise en place and stock, and help deliver a memorable dining experience with seasonal British produce.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to cook and prepare dishes to high standards.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene throughout service.
• Train and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Manage mise en place, stock rotation and waste minimisation.
• Deliver visually appealing dishes with consistency.

Responsibilities

The role

As Chef de Partie, you'll take responsibility for your designated section of the kitchen, working closely with the Sous Chefs and wider culinary team to deliver exceptional food with consistency, precision and pride. You'll play an important role in maintaining the highest standards of preparation, presentation and service, ensuring every dish reflects the quality and creativity of the restaurant.

What you'll be doing

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of your designated kitchen section, ensuring efficient preparation and smooth service.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to consistently high standards, following recipes, specifications and presentation guidelines.
• Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chefs and fellow Chef de Parties to ensure seamless communication and coordination across the kitchen.
• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, consistency and attention to detail throughout every service.
• Ensure your section is organised, clean and fully prepared for service, completing mise en place to the required standard.
• Support the development and training of Commis Chefs and junior team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging best practice.
• Maintain effective stock control, ensuring correct storage, rotation and ordering while minimising waste.
• Champion seasonal ingredients and the quality of British produce, contributing to the delivery of an exceptional dining experience.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety and hygiene procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards at all times.
• Contribute to the pre-opening and launch of Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers, helping establish strong working practices and a positive kitchen culture.
