Job summary

Scotsman Group is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Scotland. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety. This role offers development opportunities in a busy, hospitality-focused environment.

We value creativity, teamwork, and a keen eye for detail, with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent. Training and progression through our kitchen team are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Passion for food with creative flair and high standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication; ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and presentation.
• Desire to learn and develop kitchen skills; commitment to food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes within your section to high standards.
• Collaborate with team to develop new dishes and menus using seasonal ingredients.
• Oversee your section for cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Assist in maintaining stock levels and minimize waste.
• Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Support smooth service during peak times through effective liaison with head chef.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards.
• Collaborate with the team to develop new dishes and menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal ingredients are at the heart of our offerings.
• Oversee your section, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining kitchen stock levels and ensuring waste is minimized.
• Train, supervise, and motivate junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Take responsibility for preparing dishes for service, liaising with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

• Passionate about food with a creative flair.
• Experienced in working as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Attention to detail, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
• A desire to continue learning and develop your skills in the kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and health regulations with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
