Job description

We're on the lookout for a Chef de Partie to work in one of Oxford's most prestigious colleges on an ongoing temporary basis.

About the role:

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for (duties not limited to):

  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the implementation, auditing, recording, and document control of the Food Safety Management system.
  • Demonstrating the department's high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times.
  • Promoting and demonstrating a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the department.
  • Providing cover in all kitchen production areas.
  • Assisting with stock rotation, stock control, and stock take procedures under the direction of the Head Chef or Sous Chefs.
  • Assisting with the receipt of deliveries of goods and aiding with the storage of goods if necessary.

About You:

  • Works well as part of a team, driven, able to work shifts, and able to adhere to strict timescales.

Working Hours:

Working Monday to Friday straight shifts, either earlies or lates.

Pay Rate: GBP 17 per hour.
