Job summary

Holroyd Howe is recruiting a Chef de Partie for Haberdashers Girls School, Elstree, to support daily kitchen operations and contribute to innovative menus. You will help maintain high standards of food safety, presentation, and service while working within a contracted catering team dedicated to independent education.

You will join a professional kitchen delivering daily meals and events, with opportunities for training and career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in contract catering.
• Experience in independent education or high‑profile setting preferred.
• Passionate about fresh, seasonal food and presentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Haberdashers Girls School, Elstree. You'll support food preparation, help maintain high standards, and play a vital role in the delivery of daily meals and special events.

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls are consistently met
• Contribute to innovative menu planning
• Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service

Ideally, you will have experience as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef within a contract catering environment, preferably in independent education, or a high-profile business and industry setting.
